86. To Never Simplify What Is Complicated or Complicate What Is Simple 🧠
Friends,
Happy Sunday!
I’m just back from a Most Magnificent trip to Milan ❤️ where everyone was wearing their stylish mascherinas (because 🤌) looking out for each other and trying not to kill each other with omicron. It was pure magic to see.
Plus THIS GUY, who I’ve waited 2 plague-filled years to see live again, played me his new song while I sobbed gently into my mascherina with gratitude for the moment.
A beautiful reminder to take a deep breath.
Getchu a glass of water.
Tell the people you hold dear that you love them.
Plus, here’s five Sunday things you may find interesting and/or meaningful.
1. A Quote 🦢
“To love. To be loved. To never forget your own insignificance. To never get used to the unspeakable violence and the vulgar disparity of life around you. To seek joy in the saddest places. To pursue beauty to it’s lair. To never simplify what is complicated or complicate what is simple. To respect strength, never power. Above all, to watch. To try and understand. To never look away. And never, never to forget.”
— Arundhati Roy

3. Watching 🍨

How To Stop Lugging Around Your Old Emotional Baggage
via:
"Of course, when you allow yourself to feel any emotion you've been avoiding, it probably won't feel good. But you can handle that, because you're not a child any longer. The emotions may feel dangerous, but they aren't. You're an adult, and you can love yourself through it. You can do hard things! And if it feels too scary and you want support, no shame, no blame. You can always find the support you need to help you do hard things."
5. Wanderlusting 🗾
Saving all my money to get back to Japan and this onsen is top of the list.
See you next Sunday.
