8. Joy is Not Made to be a Crumb
Hiiiiiiiii friends,
Don’t forget to ask your friends and fam how they REALLY are this week.
Here’s five things I came across this week worth mentioning:
1. A poem
Mary Oliver’s beautiful poem ‘DON’T HESITATE’ on unexpected joy.
If you suddenly and unexpectedly feel joy,
don’t hesitate.…
Joy is not made to be a crumb.
I love all her books of poetry but my absolute fave has to be Dog Songs.
2. Everything is Going to be All Right
He was absolutely DIVINE in Fleabag, and now he’s even better.
3. On travel
Absolutely loved this short ‘Wes-Anderson-esque’ video of The Union Glacier Camp in West Antarctica and now I want to visit*!
*even though I really, really, really don’t like snow.
4. TEDtalks on Twitter
This short TED talk by Neil Gaiman on the fragile but powerful resilience of humans:
5. Saying NO, with grace
This great article by Jocelyn K. Glei.
Yesterday, I said “no” to someone, and this is what they wrote back to me:
“Thanks for the quick, productive, and honest conversation.”
