39. Think More About What Brings You Joy
Goooooooooood morning friends,
Have you had the pleasure of being in my company when I see an ice cream shop?
//
I’ve been thinking about this concept a lot lately —
Filtering is a superpower.
The people you don't hang around.
The opportunities you don't accept.
The distractions you don't allow.
The relationships you don't have.
The news you don't read.
The content you don't consume.
The calls you don't return.
The emails you don't answer.
Saying NO turns filtering into action.
*does not apply to gelato :-)
Here’s five things you may find interesting and/or meaningful.
1. On Space
Ever wondered how big space is?
2. A Poem
I have three of his poetry books on my bedside table and they’ve brought me such comfort this year.
The right poem, at the right time, has the power to change your life.
It’s infinitely more special when the poet reads them.
3. Between Two Naps
“Just over a year ago, Rajeev adopted a puppy called Remy, who is a chiweenie (no, we didn’t know either – it’s a dachshund crossed with a chihuahua!) and Rajeev soon realised that pretty much all Remy wanted to do was nap. “In fact, I think Remy has taken it up competitively,” he jokes. The other thing he realised, is that Remy gets cold a lot.”
Cue Between Two Naps, a collection of high-fashion helmets – for dogs.
4. Save Our Oceans
Holy shit nature is amazing. (ffwd to 20:06 —> 21:50)
5. No More Plastic
Packaging.
